Multi-level queer bar in South Slope with cabaret, drag, and a patio.
Good Judy is a multi-level queer bar on 5th Avenue in South Slope, opened in 2020 by the team behind C'mon Everybody in Bed-Stuy. The ground floor has the main bar and a small dance floor running 80s/90s/pop hits. Upstairs, The Blue Room hosts piano karaoke, cabaret, and drag — "Bitch, You Better Sing!" runs Thursdays, Saturday Night Divas drag shows on weekends. Out back, a spacious patio with a pergola. The programming calendar is packed: Drag Race viewing parties, bingo, comedy nights, sapphic speed dating, and community fundraisers. The bar publishes a bimonthly zine (the Good Judy Reader) spotlighting LGBTQ+ nonprofits, and the space is wheelchair-accessible. Cocktails run about $12, with frozen drinks and jello shots on the lighter side.
